Hand Winches

Anyone have any experience with hand winches? I was looking at one from ARB, looks like an OK alternative to a large front mounting winch & a fraction of the cost... What do you think?

I've always had a come-along type winch and even used my hi-lift as a winch before, and they will work in a pinch if you just need a budge. I've never used the mentioned ARB hand winch, but unless you're wheeling an ATV I wouldn't bank on using one for a serious recovery.

If you're on a budget or just don't want to cough up the cash for a Warn, there are several less expensive options, but be sure to do your research on winches before buying one.
