talked the wife and kids into going to the wind rivers. I've hiked the wind rivers on the other side, so first time going through the east side.
wondering if anybody ever been on these trails? did a little research and the closest to any rating is,"Shoshone lake road 12miles class 3-4.5, Christina lake road 9miles, Water crossings! class 3-4. High desert trails, all the rocks and stuff you could ever need!" so i had to get on youtube and see if there were any videos and there are a few. saw a hummer h3 and some tacos make it, but wondering whats with these ratings? is the rating 1-10?
anyways, going hopefully in july. just wondering if anybody been on these trails and any advice would be awesome.

Okay, I see it now. Yeah, it's real pretty country up there. I've passed through it recently but never got a chance to do any wheeling. I guess I'll have to fix that

I also think that 1 feature film a year isn't acceptable to this forum. :D

I've hiked into the cirque of the towers from the south and camped in the area of Big Sandy Lake and Black Joe a few times. Beautiful country up there. I have never done any Jeeping though.

Boss called me and said I could have two days off, so we packed up the dozer and headed out tomorrow. We are only going to Christina lake due to lack of time. But we are planning on going the same route as Eddie and the rest of the crew from muddy gap junction down through sinks canyon. Weather shows rain tomorrow, so it might be a muddy day of wheeling.
I'm going to do my best to take pictures this time!

Just got back, if you are near Lander Wyoming and want a fun trail, I'd recommend this trail. I can see why most 4x4 clubs run this trail.
With that said, I don't recommend this trail with a stock jeep. Pretty much beat the shit out of my skid plates. Little bit of everything, mud holes, rock gardens, creek and river crossings, some ledges.
Also if anybody goes, I wouldn't camp there, it's windy and full of mosquitoes. I'd camp at Louis lake. The trail Is close by. It's 18 miles round trip and took us 6.5 hours. I didn't take as many pictures as I wanted, but it's really nice trail!
