I've finally started my lift install and a few extras. I've had my bumpers, winch and sliders on for a few months.

The front end tear out and preservation is complete.

I should start the install tomorrow. I've had my RK 3.5" Max Travel kit waiting for a few weeks now. I'm glad the wait is over.

Can't wait to see it.

Side note- make sure you hold the axle up a little bit cause it looks like your brake lines are REALLY tight!

Thanks. I raised the axle up another "click" on the jack stands this morning. The ABS cable was tighter than the brake lines. I guess I need to find a cable further up to cut to gain some slack.

A day of welding fun. The track bar relocation brackets and the C-gussets are installed.

The rest of the install can commence.

Progress slowed a bit when neither track bar mount would fit into the relocation bracket that I welded in on Monday.

Even bending it a bit didn't help.

Here's me trying to put the heim joint in, no luck.

I'm getting very good support from the vendor who is working with RK for a solution. Hopefully it will be a replacement joint. I really don't want to grind that relocation bracket out...

Here's where I am now with the install (sans track bar).

Since you have the track bar relocation bracket, put the stock track bar back in. You will save yourself some headaches.

Thank you the idea! I now have a back-up plan, hopefully the axle will not be to off center in case I need to take your advice and use the old track bar. We'll see.

Too funny!

The vendor told me not to modify it so I straightened the bracket out last night before I installed the springs and bump stops.

If the metal head is smaller then the bracket whole it will fit, the rubber will have to slide in, hit it with lub on both sides and tap it in with a rubber hammer or sand hammer!

Here's a picture of the bracket and re joints that came on the track bar.

Too much width on both to hammer them in...

The vendor I purchased the kit from contacted RK from me and explained my situation. So a RK tech called me and let me know that there were two spacers for the heim joint in one of the parts bags. The track bar now fits perfectly. I wish the directions stated/explained that but I guess I should have know that...

I didn't fastened the track bar in because I need to adjust the joints so that the grease fitting is pointing down from the chassis mount. I'll get to that tomorrow and then continue with the brake lines, sway bar disconnect links and the front shocks.
