Hello All Wayalifers! Proud to be a member here

As much of you know, this is not my first build thread. This is my 4th JK, but my first brand spanking new one! My previous '10 JK was a 2dr that I just could not seem to get to work right. Here's a picture for all who are curious.

After selling this Jeep to a very interested buyer, I went back and forth as to what to buy next. I knew I wanted it to be a JK Unlimited, but I was unsure on alot of things. Should I buy new? Should I buy something with the new motor? After going back and forth for a little over a week, I decided that if I had the opportunity to get another Jeep, I wanted to make it something that I really wanted. Something that myself and my future wife could use, something that would be practical to carry around my huge German Shepherd and kiddos in the future, and something that wouldn't constantly be breaking. So it seemed like I only had one route.

A New 2014 JKU.

So after a friend of mine who works at a nearby Jeep dealer found one that I liked and had more options than I've ever needed in a Jeep, and after a long 3 day-over-text-price deal, I brought home this 2014 Jeep JKU Sport with only 9 miles on it, on May 23rd, 2014.

It is a 2014 Sport S with the 24S package.
Power windows, power door locks, hard top...who knew all this awesome stuff came on a Jeep?!
I also opted for the 3.73s in the Dana 44, and the Tru-loc Rear axle Locker.

After a little over a week of driving she stands with 344 miles on her!

Now I must warn you, If you subscribe to this build thread looking for quick huge mods, well sadly I hate to disappoint you. Being that this is my first BRAND NEW JK, I want to drive it stock as much as possible, and appreciate it for what it is just as it stands now. I also use my JK as my everyday driver.

Now if it's pictures you want to see, well look no further. I am an amateur photographer, and my Jeep is my main model. I plan to fill these pages up with pictures of my 2nd favorite thing(1st being the girlfriend), and the beautiful scenery and adventures that my JKU takes me on.

So please, Subscribe! I promise not to disappoint with many pictures, video, adventures, and mods to come in the distant future. Thank you all for reading this boring long spill, and keep the shiny side up. :thumb:

There's actually a story behind that! When I first began my career in emergency medicine, I worked for Paris EMS, it's my Hometown and where all of my family lives. I found that backboard at one of the Tyler hospitals, and wanted it as a personal keepsake. Now if it's ever needed, at least I know how to use it :)

Now as for the black Jeep, when my friend found all the options I was looking for, it just so happened that it came on a black Jeep. Black grew on me incredibly fast, it's a great color.

Plus, aspiring to look like Greg's JKU is never a bad thing :) ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1401997886.114183.jpg

Congrats black is the best color. Except when it comes to cleaning or not showing scratches or..... I love mine and wouldnt trade it for the world. Its a 2 dr and we have 3 kids and my wife said we will never own a 4 dr. We will though cause I want one lol but the 2dr will stay in the garage

Congrats on the new Jeep. I thought about black but I am just too lazy to keep it clean.

Thanks everybody I'm loving the new motor so far. I've always had two doors, this is my first 4 door. I loved them but I needed something more practical for my larger than life pup.

Thanks to the very generous WAYALIFE member, Rharvey160, my Jeep has some Rubicon Rock Sliders to protect those rockers!

Now to get some time to get out in the Garage and put them on!

So the story behind our journey North was simply a wedding trip that we turned into a adventure. Our original plan was to take my girlfriend's Nissan rogue, but what better way to break in a new Jeep then to drive it to another state! And it wouldn't be any fun without a photo essay.

Starting out zero'd. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1402693062.200098.jpg
Our first stop was Lake Fork, we were actually able to drive right up to the water. This is one of the only parts of the lake that this is allowed. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1402693131.683516.jpg ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1402693150.327872.jpg
After that we continued to the North where we finally arrived at my parents house for my Mom's surprise birthday party. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1402693207.982772.jpg ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1402693219.834008.jpg
