Thought I would share some pictures of the Gen Right weld in roll cage we are installing in my sons JKU. Expensive kit but I think well worth it as it fit together great, only thing lacking would be more pictures in the instructions.

It was intimidating when all the boxes showed up we laid it out, but it is very easy to fit together for a real nice pre weld fit. It also allows you to completely remove to fully weld and paint.

Looks like it's coming along nicely. :thumb: Are you painting or powder coating it? How many hours are you into the install? Did you find instructions in the box? I've been waiting for well over a week for an electronic copy but have yet to receive them.

Soon. Wife is getting annoyed with the 4 huge boxes in the garage taking up her parking spot. :sigh:

Sorry to hear you had no instructions we had instructions, they were in the box. I can bring them to work and possibly scan them so that they can be emailed to you. So far we are 20 hours into it, it is fully welded and ready for paint. My son would love to have it powder coated but we do not have the facility up here. Once she is painted the interior needs to be reinstalled then the cage. All said and done I figure we will have about 25 hours when it is all said and done. The nice thing with Genright is they gave my son a $300 credit on the cage only because it cost $700 to ship it all the way up here. I thought that was pretty decent of them.

Well I have instructions in one of the boxes, I just didn't want to open the boxes to hunt for the instructions and reduce the integrity of the boxes since they are so heavy and I need to transport them to the installer's shop. GenRight was going to send me instructions so my installer and I could review prior....but I'm getting impatient. I need to prep the jeep before taking it down, so I'm going to be removing most of the plastic and all of the carpet. Could this be installed with the seats left in? Also what do they say about the tweeters? Do you have to cut them off or are they simply blocked?

The rear seat need to be removed. I think you could do it with the front in but it would be difficult. The tweeters can stay where they are they will just be blocked, which I think is no big deal. You also lose the sound bar speakers with this cage. Like I said it is an awesome cage, I wish they had it out when I bought my PSC. I like the PSC but this is Genright thing is a piece of art.

Updated pictures, fully welded test fit the hard top. It is all looking good ready for the painter.

What about the two exterior bolts and two interior bolts for the top. Do you lose those as well since the sound bar section is gone?

No Sharky all the bolts are still used. The two that went into the sound bar are still used but look real bad. Hoping to come up with something that looks a little better. You can see what I am talking about in the pictures below. Hope that helps.

It might be easier to get the 2 pod pieces for a 03-06 tj and make them work with the cage then to cut up the factory one, just a suggestion :)
