I have a vibration that starts around 50mph gets worst at 55mph and goes away above 55mph. I took the tires to a local tire shop with a Road Force 9700 balancer with the video display monitor. The tire shop did rotate the tire and the rim as instructed, and are still unable get rid of the vibration. The Road Force display did show that it was unable to get the balance out of the red.

I have started researching tire truing or tire shaving in the area. I had done this back in the early 80's when I ran Ground Hawgs and RVT Grand prix tires. It always work well.

Anyone truing tires anymore?

last time I had a tire trued was years ago from a retread tire place I used to buy tires from specifically for wheeling.

When a tire took too much weight to balance they would pull it and do their thing on it...I liked that place, always made a quality retread and made sure the job was done right.

Did the tech break the bead and spin the tire 180?

I remember looking up tire truing in the past. I did not think it's done on passenger vehicles no more... Liability reasons maybe ?
