Need Help With New Bumper Choice!!

Hey Guys, I know you have all come to this hard decision at least once or twice ;) so I need your help! I have come to the conclusion that I'm slowly going to start with a build on my JKU and the first stop for me is the bumper. I have narrowed it down to the AEV Premium Bumper or a locally Aus made Uneek 4x4 Modular Bar. My Jeep is used on the highway most of the time with some light trail work every 2nd or 3rd weekend, so I'm looking to see which one you guys think? I'm leaning to the Uneek as its $400-$450 Cheaper than the AEV!!! Plus due to the animals in Aus it looks like it will protect me more in remote places. Let me know what you think, it would be most appreciated! Ps. Sorry about so many pics :D

In my opinion the AEV looks a lot better. But looks are not everything. That 400-500 dollar savings can go to something else.

Loading please wait....

What I would look at is what will the clearance be on both at full stuff with the size tires you are currently running and what size you will run. I have a mid width bumper that allows for my 35's to go full stuff with out rubbing but if I go up to 37's or bigger I will have rubbing issue.

I like the Neek buyer because of the metal and it's protection but I do not like it because of the width if I were to go to bigger tires.

What's LoD like over there? They have really great products and several styles to choose from. I like the Armor Lite series myself personally. Their prices are good here in the states.

Well im running 33's and will probably stay at that size, the uneek the suppose to have great clearance and that is coming from a mate that has had a AEV bar is the past on his current set up.

Yeah i like the metal as well, and the fact its a locally owned and made product!

Have you looked at LoD Bumpers?

By the way I believe the pictures on the Lod website are of Moby and they are a forum sponsor.

I will have to take a pic tomorrow and upload it.

I love my LoD front bumper.

Cannot go wrong with a local company. Stimulates your local economy and if there are any issues you can get it resolved quickly.

I Can't get them here and im keen to get one so i dont have a plastic park bench much longer! Have you had any experience with the Warn Bumpers? they seem quite cheap, if so what do you think about quality?

I have not but from what i read they do not accept all the winches Waren makes.

The looks are very close, and for the price difference, I would go with the uneek for sure. Very nice looking bumper too.

I'm running the ARB full width bumper on mine with 35's and haven't had any rubbing issues yet. looks similar to the uneek one, could be another option if you haven't ruled them out already.
