Five bucks for a Christmas tree cutting permit got me a perfect nordsman (noble/grand hybrid).

A plus to living where most Christmas trees are grown.

Have fun with all your "fresh" trees that I saw them cutting down and shipping out weeks ago. :)

Yup, paid $10 for our "fresh" tree - but they're all going to die anyways - and who cares how long they last after 12/25.

Ya, what's the story with the trailer? Cutting our tree down tomorrow. Will post up then.

The trailer is an m1102 military trailer I fell in love with. It's all aluminum, and has crazy high clearance axles combined with 37" beadlocked tires.

My plan is to narrow the body almost 24" so I can wheel hard with it. ...that is, when I finally get some time.

I just threw a 5 gallon bucket under there to really be able to grasp just how much clearance that is. This is why I chose this trailer... ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1417924391.038854.jpg

First time I've had a real tree in probably 20ish years. I forgot how good they smell. Definitely doing this every year now. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1417932064.301416.jpg ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1417931965.789873.jpg

Got this one put up at the station, which is pretty much my second home...
