I know there are a million ways to fix the gap between the spare and factory bump stops not meeting up with the tire after installing aftermarket wheels on the factory carrier, but here is my solution for under $3 at Lowe's.
After replacing the rear tailgate after a self-inflicted wound (dang concrete barrier at work), I decided to shore things up a little. Even with the stock tires, going without the bump stops making contact (AEV Savegre wheels) had worn on the factory hinges. All's better now.
If anyone wants the extra two stoppers that came in the 4-pack, I'll mail them to you for karma credit. Just PM me.
