Subwoofer electrical issues

Hey guys,

I have a little self powered sub and so kc highlights that I have hooked up myself.... everything was all fine and dandy for a while but now my sub doesn't always turn on when the jeep is started but if I turn the hilights off and on the sub will turn on.... im no electrician but what could be causing this and how can I fix it?!?

It's not getting the proper turn on signal when you turn the key on. The connections to the amp, what are they? Or can you provide model info?
