MedixJK build thread

Ok, i hadnt planned on doing a build thread because i considered what i planned on doing to be very minimal and didnt want to bore everyone to death. I bought my 2012 jkus in sept '14 w 7k miles. After a google search for some accessories, i stumbled on a forum called WAYALIFE. i soon realized how much more my jk could be. So ill be slowly adding things to this build, highlighting things ive done and plan to do with my limited time and money. And thanks in advance for any and all input.

I wish i had read more on the forum before lifting the jeep but i didnt, and im sure ill pay for that later. Went with a 2.5" RC coil lift, and 295/70r17 Mastercraft courser mxt. both of which i currently like, but time will tell.

I did a couple mods to rid the jeep of the mail carrier look. Plasti-dipped grill. Rugged ridge front bumper ect..

Gotta look like im shopping at the mall, not delivering their mail...

Christmas brought some much needed parts. Before hand, i drank a few beers, got brave and chopped my fenders. Then came the sway bar quick discos, a-pillar LEDs, bump stops and the bumper.

Scored a set of rubicon factory wheels that are currently waiting for 35x12.50 toyos to be put on and some EVO gussets.

I like how much a painted grill changes the look. I was planning on doing mine this weekend but it's too damn cold in the garage today. The Jeep looks great!

Thanks. Ive always been a plastidip fan. Not great in all situations but its sweet for certain things.

So when it comes to welding the c-gussets on...anyine tried putting an ice pack or somethin similar on the ball joints? Or does everybody pretty well stick to the damp rag method?

Glad to see you've got you a build thread!

You have my subscription!

How do you like your Trek Top NX? I recently made the switch back to one.

I love it so far. The ambient noise is kind of trippy if your used to a hard top. I keep thinking ive got a rear window open or something because you can hear so much more. Aside from that it has been great. Im sure when good weather hits ill love it even more.

My buddy that welded mine just alternated sides often. Welded a minute one side, went to the other side. No damp rag or anything like that.
