The Kool-Aid is Strong Over Here

So I've had my Jeep since about August and didn't really think about making a build thread just because I figured it would be a real slow build, but as luck would have it, it might be a lot faster than I thought lol.

A little background on my Jeep. Its a 2012 Wrangler Sport with a 6 speed manual and was completely stock when I bought it. I bought it from an older couple with 10k miles on it and not a single scratch on her! The guy bought it for his wife (who couldn't drive a stick) but she loved the color so they bought that one over the white automatic sitting right next to it at the dealership. Long story short, she hated driving a stick and its all mine now! This Jeep was a virgin when I bought her! The doors had never been taken off, the top had came off just 3 times and she had never been off-road! The original owner put it in 4 low once just to see how slow it would crawl and thats it! When I looked the Jeep over before the test drive there wasn't one single scratch on any of the skid plates. I feel like I stole it from them lol. But here she is when I first got her!

My list of mods for the future.

The first thing I did when I got her home was take her off-road! She's no virgin now!

The next weekend I packed her up
and went on a beach trip with my parents. It did surprisingly well in the sand with those little crappy street tires but I knew I had to fix it.

So when I got home from the beach I called up to Rubitrux in Boone (the guys that do all the Jeep truck conversions) and got a set of 5 2015 Rubicon wheels and tires and bolted them on and went out wheeling that day to really test my Jeep out.

AHAHAh they look so funny stock! Nice find what our your plans for this great find?

I plan on keeping the stock axles, unless I can find a rubicon front axle, and just putting Artec truss and all that on them for strength, chromoly shafts and lockers front and rear (ARB). For lift I'm going with a RockKrawler 2.5 inch Max Travel Kit with Bilstein shocks. I'm going to keep the Rubicon wheels for awhile because I really like the look of them, but my dream wheels are Method Beadlocks. But my tires are going to be either 37 inch Goodyear MTRs or 35 Nitto Trail Grapplers when I instal the lift. And EVO front bumper, D rings and face plate for the rear, and their rock sliders and maybe rock skins. But that's my plan.....for now lol

Well about 2 months ago I hit a deer going about 50 and got a little damage. A bolt was pushed through the grille, the right front fender flair got busted up and the fender has a dent in it. So I ordered a new flair and grille but haven't installed the grille yet but I did get around to replacing the fender flair.

HOLY Crap!!!! I bet you had a new brown stain on your seat after that one lol. And I think your damage would have been a whole lot worse than mine if you had hit that moose!

haha thanks man! I get a lot of looks when I drive her around town. I always get kids smiling and waving at me when I go by and people coming up to me and asking me questions when I stop to get gas. Most of the people ask me why I painted it that color, the look on their faces when I tell them it came from the factory that color is priceless lol.

Oh and I love your Jeep! I have plans for mine to be that big...one day lol

Man, I'm glad you didn't hit that bad boy then and you're ok! I'm sure you were pretty shaken up after that though!
And yea damage does suck, but at least it isn't bad lol. I thought my Jeep would have been a lot worse when I hit it, but replacement parts are cheap anyway and it gives me a reason to upgrade! lol

Well I got around to fixing the broken fender flair and that thing was a bitch to get on. The little clips that hold the flair flush to the body had to be the most stubborn things ever lol. And so were these little pins that held the flair and fender liner together, I eventually ended up having to hammer them together.
