Hey guys im debating doing a trade in for a new 3.6 before moving to alaska. Ill be driving through the candian rockys and will either be towing my wifes kia or a trailer with it. Has anyone towed the max recommended of 3500lbs through those mountains out west in the us? Just wondering how bad it will struggle at climbing and stopping, would be close to stock.

I towed a cherokee, I cant recall the weight, stock jku with 3.6 and 3.21 gears, pulled fine. It wasnt out west or in mountains, was around bendy roads, towed for 40ish miles. Hope this helps a little

Yeah cherokee weighs more than her crossover kia and ill have 4.10 gearing. Do need some input on steep grades though, ill be pushing 65mph when flat, any chimes on fuel efficiency?
