Tuffy security deck install and bracket fabrication for a 2 dr. JK

We love our Tuffy security deck in our 2014 JKU and also wanted one for our 2014 JK but when we were installing it we found that Tuffy neither provided or made a bracket for the front piece of the unit to secure it to the floor for a 2 door (they are working on one according to their customer service dept.). The answer was to either drill a hole in the metal plate of rear seat anchor or fabricate something. Since we were hesitant to drill a hole over where the gas tank sits and risk puncturing it, we decided to create the simple solution shown here. We used a 1"x 1/8th" piece of flat stock steel, 2 carriage bolts and a couple washers & wing nuts and we are in business! It creates a really tight anchor point and while it technically can be pried off, our goal was to stop those looking for a grab and dash situation and keep things in place without having to tie them down.
