Hello Wayalife Members,

First of all, I am excited I found this forum. Eddie has created a great place to access a lot of great knowledge and minimal (if any) fear causing opinions.

Anyways, welcome to my build thread.

I am patiently waiting to order my 2016 JKU Rubicon in Mojave Sand. And yes I am debating an automatic or manual transmission. My argument for the manual transmission is my desire to eventually upgrade the engine with the RIPP supercharger. I do not want to go through the “lift to shift” issues some have experienced with the automatic. However, I read that on other forums where those fear inducing opinions are all over. So please, if you have heard differently I would like to hear it.

Due to my personality, I have already planned out each phase of my build without even ordering the JKUR yet. Basically, I will eventually spend a lot of money at North Ridge 4x4 since they are local (~3 hours away) and a respected shop. I am posting this early because I would like to gather as much feedback that I can. So please enjoy my long list of modifications and as I mentioned, please provide feedback and recommendations!

Thanks,
Derek

Thanks! I am more than excited. I took a look at your build thread, and your rig is looking nice, but appears it wasn't stock for too long. :)

Anyways, I have even thought about ordering my parts since I know a 2016 JKUR is in my future even if Mojave Sand never comes out.

However, now I am already rethinking my lift kit choice. . . Rock Krawler 3.5" X-Factor or EVO DD Bolt-On Long-Arm? This way I have the chance to upgrade it to a beast of a coilover setup later (EVO DTD). I just do not know how to weld and would prefer my items to be welded on. Looks like I am going to the local technical school and taking night classes. . .
