I have a 1978 258 to put in my 1985 jeep cj 7. I need a master rebuild kit but I'm not sure who makes the best (quality) kits. Can anyone enlighten me and if so can you briefly describe why you think so? Thank you.
I rebuilt the 258 in my old yj with a kit i got on ebay, pretty good parts for the money too. I think i paid 350 for everything pistons and all, and they were all federal mogul parts, timken bearings, and fel pro gaskets. Everything worked well.
