New one for me but really good. It’s smooth and flavorful.

    Wines of the Week

Spent some time with the wife doing some wine tasting on Monday. Not too far a drive is the Temecula Wine Country.

Some just didn’t taste right. Others were surprising good (nicely done sourced Zin). And several new varietals tried, which was really neat to taste.

Overall a nice day and didn’t come home completely empty handed.

I was very excited to pick up a case of this today for half price:

$15 a bottle is a steal! So good!

Can’t even begin to pronounce this Italian red. 2011 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (Sangiovese and Canaiolo blend) from POGGIO STELLA. Though a little outside my norm it is good.

There are two traditional wines in Tuscany...Vin Noble de Montepulciano and Brunello do Montalcino...which are the two largest hills in the region...and primarily Sangiovese grapes

I think that was on the tasting sheet, but I couldn’t find it. Lol. Being a 2011, it was a little tight at first. But let it open up for about 1.5/2 hours and it helped a lot.

For sure. I need a better one of those and a decanter. Just been lazy. Lol. The aerator I have seems to stir up the sediment. This being a 2011, I wanted to not take the chance.

About us
“wayoflife” is a moniker that I’ve been using for 20 years now and I chose it because I think it does a great job of explaining, in simple terms, the passion I have for Jeeps and the Jeep way of life. This is a lifestyle that transcends age, gender and race as the only thing you need to be a part of it is a love for the outdoors, a desire to explore, a yearning to take on a challenge and a will to conquer it. Over the years, Cindy and I have attempted to capture the essence of this lifestyle through photographs and videos and share it with others around the world. And, this is how WAYALIFE was born.
