Big hit, sure. But now I'm liking my central coast, Santa Barbara and Temecula areas even more.

I'm thinking the wineries will come back quick, the vines, not so much.

    Right!

This is an awesome Tempranillo from Santa Barbara. Better than I remembered. Their Grenache made wine spectators top 50 for 2016. I thought that was worthy. This Tempranillo doesn't seem too far behind to me.

I've had some local wines when I stayed in Santa Barbara a few times over the last few years...they were excellent

    Wines of the Week

Another great offering from Spain. Excellent dark fruit accompanied by a mild oak finish synonymous with Reserva:

I love Spanish wines...my favorite (if you can find it) is the Vega Sicilica Unico ...the grape varietal is Tinto Fino, which is a local strain of Tempranillo...it is absolutely outstanding.

Here's another Santa Barbara find. A reserve chard from Tres Hermanas.

A great Tannat from Paso's Tablas Creek. Great vineyard bringing french varietals to the west coast.

Had this fabulous bottle of wine the other night...it is from the famed right bank Bordeaux Cheval Blanc which opened a vineyard in Argentina...primarily Malbec, with Cab Sauvignon & Petit Verdot...

About us
“wayoflife” is a moniker that I’ve been using for 20 years now and I chose it because I think it does a great job of explaining, in simple terms, the passion I have for Jeeps and the Jeep way of life. This is a lifestyle that transcends age, gender and race as the only thing you need to be a part of it is a love for the outdoors, a desire to explore, a yearning to take on a challenge and a will to conquer it. Over the years, Cindy and I have attempted to capture the essence of this lifestyle through photographs and videos and share it with others around the world. And, this is how WAYALIFE was born.
