Replacing wire cable on a Warn VR8000 with synthetic line?

Anyone changed out the wire cable for synthetic line on a Warn VR8000 winch? Any problems, thoughts or advise. Thanks.

I replaced my steel with another steel 3/8" line I got from a member. Just undo the wire line and get rid of it. Make sure the drum doesn't have any burs. Also change out the roller fairlead and your good to go.
