CB antenna - can I paint them and or shrink wrap

Have a white fiberglass antenna and want to paint it or cover it black
Will that stop it from working ??

I wouldn't do anything to an antenna that could interfere with its performance. Why not buy a black antenna?

As long as you aren't covering it with any sort of metal or altering the length you won't notice any performance difference.

Yes you can paint a fiberglass antenna any color you want too... It won't interfere with performance.... As TLife said don't cut the length and you'll be fine....

i use heatshrink on my antennas regularly without any negative effect

I've seen the black fire stick antennas with adjustable tip for less than 20 bucks. You can pick them up at almost any online vendor.
