Recently bought an 07 JK Unlimited. Parked in garage w/full tank and the fumes were thick. Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Wayalife! :standing wave:

So you filled up and then drove right home? (I too have a gas station right by my house)

Did the vehicle sit in a hot garage right after the fill up? AS in the fuel was cold then expanded as it got hot.
The fuel down deep in the tanks underground can be cold. Then when put in your tank it starts warming up. If parked in a hot garage it can expand and push out vapor.

If all the above checks out good, then get under it and have a look around. The fuel door is on the drivers side and the tank is on the passenger side. There is a set of hoses that run across under your Jeep than can get damaged.
Look for signs of wet fuel.

Also the Evap. Canister and its hoses are susceptible to damage.

Put cardboard down under the Jeep after a fill and look for the signs of a drip. Then look strait up from that to get you in the ballpark.

Good luck and get back to us to let us know what the problem was.

Hooked
only happens at when full?
the fill neck may be loose. you may not see it drip but if the gas cap is sealing, you can remove the brake light housing on that side and see the fill tube.
look for shiny areas where the hose fittings are, that's a sign of leaking area.
you can also crawl under and check for the same shiny spots. also check the evap for leaks

If the evap system had a leak, the PCM would turn on the MIL.
The system monitors pressure and would set a DTC as soon as it see it.
