So...I had to go big. I have spent the last year figuring out how to do it. I landed on finding a very high mileage CHEAP 2WD JKU. (That's right a 2wd!). Meet Deuce:

So you just bought the Jeep for the tub/frame? You will be adding a trans, tcase, drive shafts, etc?

Looking forward to the build!

As for axles why the ud60 and not a pr60 or xd60 like your doing up front?

First step was to swap some parts from the 2008 to Deuce:

I have thought of going this same route on a build for my next jeep. Why buy all the stuff your just going to tear out and replace. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

To the op, make sure in your list of misc to add the mopar brake booster/master cylinder to the list. The UD60 brakes are amazing... if you get the bigger master/booster. With the stock one they are downright bad as it can't push enough fluid. Something like the teraflex/j8 master helps but the full blown upgraded booster is the way to go. In hard braking events now, like folks pulling out in front of you, with the bigger booster / master I set off the abs with my 40s. The brakes are actually my favorite part of the axles for normal driving.

Just out of curiosity, if you're swapping in a HEMI and F/R 60s, why in the word would you use a ProComp lift?

I was wondering this exact same thing. Your spending some serious coin on the drivetrain then falling off on the lift...

I owned the springs already, and I am going to do full coilovers at somepoint. Call it phase 1 for now
