Unknown Under Hood Switch?

I have a 2014 JKUR. I noticed a switch under the hood, drivers side just behind the radiator. It depresses when the hood closes, releases when open. Thought it could be a light switch, but there's no light under the hood??? Anyone know what this is for?

Let's you know the hood is open if you go to drive around like that?

Kill switch for remote start.

kill switch and should sound off the alarm once the doors lock, but only when the hood is opened then closed - at least that's how it works on mine, I keep meaning to reverse the wiring so it'll go off when the hood is opened but not sure if it'll affect the remote start

Remote start switch. Remote start won't work with the hood open

odd, mine does. I used it when I was filling my PSC reservoir and have used it to start on other occasions when working on the engine.
