CALAMITY JANE - All Colored Up in Factory Jetset Blue Metallic

I've been meaning to post up some better pics of Jane after getting her all colored up in her original factory Jetset Blue Metallic but the weather had been kind of crummy. Well, the sun was out for a bit yesterday and Cindy and I had a little time on our hands so we snapped a few so that you could get a better look at what she looks like now.

Really happy with the way the dash came out being that it was basically swiss cheese before.

A few shots inside the garage to give you an idea of what the blue looks like out of the sun.

CALAMITY JANE - All Colored Up in Factory Jetset Blue Metallic

    UPDATE 12/22/16

What the dash looked like before...

    After sanding down the paint...

After patching up all the holes...

    And now...

After taking apart the gauges, cleaning them up and repainting the needles, here's what they look like now. I also bought new instrument lights just to finish things up.

As you can see, I also got the seats reinstalled as well.

CALAMITY JANE - All Colored Up in Factory Jetset Blue Metallic

    UPDATE 12/23/16

Got a chance to spend a little more time on Jane today and got her seats with cleaned up and repainted seat brackets installed, hood reassembled and installed, windshield installed and even got all the dash lights working again.

Here's a shot of the seat brackets from the driver side. As you can see, Cindy and I cleaned them all up and hit them up with some new black paint.

Shot of the passenger side seat bracket.

Passenger side seat bracket folded and tumbled in the up position.

Here's a rear 3/4 shot of Jane with her windshield reinstalled.

Closer shot of the dash and windshield reinstalled.

This is a front shot of Jane with her windshield and hood on and all the hardware reinstalled.

    Front 3/4 shot.

And finally, a shot of all her dash lights working.

That really is a beautiful color. Can't wait to see it put back together and added to your collection. I also see you have a new steering stabilizer on there.

Yeah, you could say that the one that came on her had seen better days.

About us
“wayoflife” is a moniker that I’ve been using for 20 years now and I chose it because I think it does a great job of explaining, in simple terms, the passion I have for Jeeps and the Jeep way of life. This is a lifestyle that transcends age, gender and race as the only thing you need to be a part of it is a love for the outdoors, a desire to explore, a yearning to take on a challenge and a will to conquer it. Over the years, Cindy and I have attempted to capture the essence of this lifestyle through photographs and videos and share it with others around the world. And, this is how WAYALIFE was born.
