My Jk Story

As of today I am 19 years old and grew up in Columbia, Mo. I began the Jeep Wayalife as soon as I turned 16 when I became a proud owner of a 2008 red 2-door jk. Gotta a pretty good deal on it because it had been sitting on the lot for a couple months and the dealer was a good friend of ours. So as it sat the day it was purchased it was bone stock. It didnt take long for the mods to begin, I was in high school therefore I didn't have any other expenses. Why not start my Jeep Wayalife off right? First thing on the mod list was1.5" wheel spacers, a cobra cb radio, PA, and a 3ft antenna. Then later that year I decided to go with some Cragar Soft 8's 17" to replace the stock rubicon wheels and spacers. With the wheels I purchased a 2.5 bb lift, which was the biggest mistake I had made, because it just made my ride rough and I ended up ditching it later. After that winter I decided it was time to upgrade to some 35's, burnt off the 32's. The tires I installed were some Treadwrights, thought I would give them a shot, so far so good and they have lasted quite awhile for the price. Right after the install I had to try them out and get a little mud on the tires. Then added some src rock rails. Soon after installing the 35's I realized it was time to go bigger on the lift and ditch the bb and go to a full suspension lift, where I purchased and installed an RC 3.5" series 2 lift with 1" daystar comfort spacers. After a year or so passed over the summer my spare tire was becoming to much for the tailgate and began to rattle, so I coughed up the money and purchased an or-fab tire carrier and while I was at it I bought some bumper end caps. Also over the summer i got a smoking deal on a soft top for 100 without the tinted windows, installed some quick discos, and rock lights. Any modifications done to this Jeep have been done by me. Just this past year I left for college in STL, where I am on Lindenwood University's colligent cycling team and plan on spending my next four years, until I graduate with a business degree and make my journey out west to pursue my Jeep passion and dreams. My Jeep mods will continue.
