Pedal Commander, good or snake oil?

Went on a run last weekend and the store promoting the event was pushing it. From what I can see it just reduces throttle lag and gives you that "more power" feeling which I figure is more of a placebo, but still wanted to ask if anybody is running this and what are your opinions...

Had to goggle it and read about it. IMO it's snake oil BIG TIME. I wouldn't get it

Not sure what a Pedal Commander is but it kind of sounds like the old Sprint Booster. If it is, all it will do is remove the lag that you feel from the accelerator pedal. Being that it's electrical and not mechanical like the old days, a device like it or a Sprint Booster will help. Here's a write-up I did of what I had.

Granted, at $300, I don't know if it's really worth it.

It's pretty much the same thing, at $300 I think I have better mods to buy

Does nothing for power, but as stated, it just makes the drive by wire motor more responsive. There similar devices for the 2010 Camaros that do the same thing...waste of money.

if you reset the ECU then do some quicker throttle take offs, the ECU learns and will provide better response times.

It may be my "want" to make it so but I do it when I begin to feel that delay response and it's fine again until I do too many slow starts.

Do at your own risk - if you have a tune make sure you have a backup on your tuner. I haven't had any issues in doing it but that's my experience - yours may vary.

From Quadratec:

The following procedure will allow you to reset the memory and allow the computer to 're-learn' how to drive by adjusting to the drivers habits and the vehicles modifications.

1. Disconnect the battery by removing the positive battery cable. Remember, the positive battery cable.

2. Ground the positive cable to the negative cable for 30 seconds to erase the electric charge in the capacitors.

3. Reconnect the positive cable to the battery.

4. Turn the key to on but do not start.

5. Turn the headlights on.

6. Turn the headlights off.

7. Turn the key off.

The ECU has now been reset to its factory settings. For the next 50 warm-up periods the ECU will re-learn the engine and driving habits for your driving conditions and the newly installed parts.

Pedal Commander

I’ve been looking at these for awhile. Has anyone used one, have any pros or cons. Thanks in advance.

I have one in my Jeep. I do have to say that I definately enjoy not having that Lag when driving on the highway. I keep it constantly in City (3) mode and I have actually added 25 extra miles to a tank of gas and I normally drive at 70mph.

Now for those who are curious, extra power.......nope! I know some who swear they are, but they just aren't getting that its just the removal of the lag and as you switch to sport setting.

I am pleased with it and for my usage of it. When I buy my wife her jeep I will have one installed in hers too. It is a bitch if you don't remember to turn off when off roading. you want all the control in your pedal when climbing over rocks. Just my thoughts on it.

Just installed the pedal commander and all I can say is WOW!!!!!!! Sport+4 mode is amazing. Granted I know there’s no horsepower added. We’ll see what it does from here. Probable keep mine in city as well.

Pedal Commander

Has anyone installed a Pedal Commander like on this list

How do you like it? Did you notice a significant difference in throttle response?

And I have one more question,

Has anyone already heard or knows if there are any online casino games for an Android phone? I'm thinking of getting one or an iPhone right now. I'm leaning towards an iPhone because as an avid slots player I'd really like to play the slots games offered by Spin3.

I'm interested in knowing if there are any companies out there that have a really good online casino product that is geared towards an Android phone that I can look at. For example, I found this list of best quality casinos in Canada, just here https://qualitycasinos.cc/, with many great slots for Android. anyway, I'm kind of torn between the two, but knowing there's something in the works or already for Android, I'd like to go in the direction I believe.

Cheers!
