Does anyone know if a Dodge rear Dana 80 is worth it?

As a rear assembly for a JK? Awfully big diff. Clearance might be a big issue. Strength is there but weight and clearance are not.

Stay away from any dodge axles. You could use their old kingpin fronts but they are lowpinion and passenger side drop and wont go in your Jeep. The aftermarket support for dodge axles are terrible and the newer fronts are center disconnect which is just junk. That being said do yourself and put a newer disk brake 14bolt in the rear.

If you're running big enough tires and motor, the size and weight might not be too big of an issue but I'd have to agree you might not want to go down this path if only because there isn't much support for it.

About us
“wayoflife” is a moniker that I’ve been using for 20 years now and I chose it because I think it does a great job of explaining, in simple terms, the passion I have for Jeeps and the Jeep way of life. This is a lifestyle that transcends age, gender and race as the only thing you need to be a part of it is a love for the outdoors, a desire to explore, a yearning to take on a challenge and a will to conquer it. Over the years, Cindy and I have attempted to capture the essence of this lifestyle through photographs and videos and share it with others around the world. And, this is how WAYALIFE was born.
