big bore xd question

Okay as I understand it the psc xd is great for up to 37" tires but may actually create some problems with other steering parts. My question is if I have 37's and do trails in the 3 to 7 range is this the answer or is the answer ram assist?

PSC is heading to Moab with one on their JK running 39" tires. I think "Spicy Chicken" has the XD, and is running 40's. Is cylinder assist better? Yes.

I think with 37's it should hold up well.
