I'll be running 4.88s in my 2.4L 4cyl TJ when I put 33s on. In your application with the 2.5L being a little less powerful, 5.13's would probably be better. What axles are you running?

I would recommend NOT putting 35s on until you replace those axles. The Ford 8.8 swap (Google is your friend, there) is a popular swap and is a VERY strong axle in a TJ. As for the front... if you can find a good deal on a Rubi 44 out of a TJ, not a bad swap. But even swapping in a high pinion Dana 30 is an improvement over what you have now. If you put 5.13s in a low pinion 30, your pinion gear is VERY tiny and you risk breaking it.

About us
“wayoflife” is a moniker that I’ve been using for 20 years now and I chose it because I think it does a great job of explaining, in simple terms, the passion I have for Jeeps and the Jeep way of life. This is a lifestyle that transcends age, gender and race as the only thing you need to be a part of it is a love for the outdoors, a desire to explore, a yearning to take on a challenge and a will to conquer it. Over the years, Cindy and I have attempted to capture the essence of this lifestyle through photographs and videos and share it with others around the world. And, this is how WAYALIFE was born.
