CB Antenna Questions - muliplexor performance

Has anyone tried the CB multiplexor systems that allow your CB antenna (SWR tuned of course) to simultaneously perform as an AM/FM antenna? How is the antenna performance? Did it have a negative impact on range or sound quality? I would like to possibly remove the stock radio antenna and replace it with a vhf/uhf antenna. My CB antenna is mounted to tire carrier. Any other solutions are very welcome. Thanks! :thinking:

If you dont want to run an antenna line switch box, and run the risk of static noise, there is always this option. If you are interested I can get you the contact info for the company out of Australia. Im talking about the antenna mount only. I got the antenna and cable from Ham Radio Outlet.

Thanks! Wasn't sure if something like this really provided sufficient grounding, but it seems like it does.
