A/C Problem

My 2004 WranglerX a/c switches blowing air from vents to floor when accelerating switches back to vents when slowing down. I replaced complete vacuum line still having problem. Anyone got a fix?

It's definitely a vacuum leak. Finding it may be a bitch, though.

The vent system is vacuum driven so you're on the correct path. Do you know which vent state is default when vacuum isn't present (I don't) because that will be a clue.

Was trying to avoid tearing out the dash if I didn't have to but if ya gotta ya gotta.

Should be the defrost when vacuum isn't present.

I replaced the whole vacuum line from intake to resavoir with OEM part.

Stayed on defrost about a year ago. Found cracked vacuum hose going through firewall, replaced it, worked fine until last couple of months. I also replaced resistor card at same time.

My guess is failed check valves since the AC vent operates properly when the motor spins up.
