I hadn't heard about this but just received a RIP Tom Petty from a local radio app I use. That sucks he was awesome.

Just heard too... I was lucky to see him perform at a small venue here in LA...the guy is a f'n legend.... There is a cool Documentary on Netflix about him.... What a bummer.

CBS News Reports Tom Petty, of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Dead at 66

Saw him in Boston about 15 years ago. Probably the best concert I have ever been to. Just an incredible lyricist, song writer, and band leader. A unique American talent.

Yep. Looks like after they pulled life support he was transported back to his home where he passed around 8:30 PST around friends and family.
