Death wobble after tire/wheel swap

I’ve got an 07, have had zero DW issues before. I recently swapped out my 33” Nitto Trail Grapplers and ARE wheels for a set of (used) Hutchinson Rock Monsters with 35” BFG MTs.

Driving down the road up to about 65 I’ve had no problems, but today I turned a curve in the road at about 35 and got the DW.

Could the bigger tires (even through there’s only about an inch difference) have caused that? They’re smooth running down the road, doesn’t feel like a balance issue.

Thoughts?

The cause of your DW has likely been there all along but wasn't set into motion. The bigger tires or improperly balanced tires likely were enough to set it into motion. Do check to make sure lug nuts are tight and wheel bearings have no play. "Cause"? No. Your tires and their bigger footprint is most likely making whatever you have loose or worn out show itself but they are not the "cause".
