Hi, My name is Mel,
New here and I wanted to say hello. Been a Jeep guy since 1976. I've owned 3 CJs, 1 Cherokee, 1 Patriot and just got a new 2017 Wrangler Sport JKU. That Cherokee (2000) was a "family car" but a workhorse and an unstoppable vehicle off road or in the snow. It was on the road for 15 years and racked up 300,000 miles before it finally died. My Patriot was a 2007 and I liked having a second Jeep as backup for routine trips. It only has 70,000 miles and looks in great shape. Poor traction though and no ground clearance so I needed a real Jeep again. Compared to my first CJ the new JK is a luxury vehicle. It even has a padded dash! I love the Gobi color but I need to add some hood decals, a trailer hitch and a grill guard to personalize it.
