2011 jku 4x4 issues

hi everyone i have a jku 2011 and i went in a snow bank in 4 high and now it stuck in 4 high and the stick is free to move does anyone had that problem before

There is a bushing on each end of your transfer case shifter cable. They are known to break. If it's the one on the transfer case it's pretty easy to get to. The one on the other end not so much. You have to remove the console. Not an awfull job though. You should be able to shift your transfer case manually from below to get it back into 4hi.

My TJ used to freeze if I drove in slush and snow then parked for the day or night and didn't take it out of 4wd. Not sure if that could be your issue, just wanted to offer it up in case it was less hassle than those bushings.

The bushings fail is a common issue. :doh:
