While this is far from being a new or an original idea, I don't think I've ever seen a good write-up for making your own Rotopax mount for an EVO tire carrier. Fortunately, it is cheap and super easy to do and this should help you out. Please note that the parts listed have been linked so that you can just click on them and buy what you need.

What you will need
RotopaX RX-UP Universal Mounting Plate
RotopaX RX-LOX-PM Pack Mount Lock
RotopaX RX-DLX-PM Deluxe Pack Mount
KC HiLiTES 7307 Tube Clamp Mount Bracket for 1.75" to 2"
• (2) 1/4-20" Carriage Bolts
• (2) 1/4-20" Nuts
• (2) 1/4" Washers
• Ratchet
• 7/16, 1/2" Socket or Wrench
• 3/16" Allen Wrench

This is a shot of pretty much everything you will need.

Instructions
1. Install both of the KC Tube Clamps onto your EVO tire carrier and loosely secure them in place using the hardware provided. A 3/16" allen wrench will be needed for this job.

2. Spread the 2 KC Tube Clamps apart so that the center of the mounting holes measure 12-1/2" apart.

3. Using a 3/16" allen wrench, tighten the KC Tube Clamp bolts.

4. Loosely install your RotopaX RX-LOX-PM Pack Mount Lock and RX-DLX-PM Deluxe Pack Mount onto the RX-UP Universal Mounting Plate using the hardware provided. A 1/2" socket will be needed for this job.

5. Place the assembled mounting plate onto your Rotopax making adjustments to the pack mounts as needed for a good fit. Then, use a 1/2" socket to tighten and secure the pack mounts in place.

6. Secure the assembled Rotopax pack mount onto the KC Tube Clamp using 1/4"-20 carriage bolts, washers and nuts. A 7/16" socket or wrench will be needed for this job.

That came out good. Was gonna ask about license plate then saw it down there.

Thanks! I made my own license plate mount, attached it to 2 of the hitch receiver bolts and secured it in place with a couple of nuts. I think works out pretty well :yup:

Don't suppose you could throw a pic up of that, been thinking of putting mine down there.

Looks great, and simple. I had done a very similar thing with the plate and KC clamps but on the upper angled bars. Almost like it down there better, was kinda finicky the way I had it.

I remember your setup and I think it worked well for anyone who wanted to keep the license plate where it is.

Yea true, I forgot I didn’t have to move the plate. Was just a pain when I had to take it on and off not having a even level bar to line up with

Didn't even think about that! I definitely wanted a setup where I could take off the Rotopax and things still look like they belong - like that's how the tire carrier came.

+1 I used the plate and KC clamps on the upper angled bars as well but I don't really like the look of the clamp placement. Not sure why I did not think of the horizontal cross bar. Eddie's way looks much cleaner. :thumb:
