Opinions on a good Bench Vise

I’m in the process of getting a small storage shed, in which I will build a 10 foot work bench. What’s a good vise to buy?

Didn't you just order that Mac's Vice? If so, you could just do something like this for cheap:

I'd have to agree with Doug in that you could just use your new Mac's Trail D-Vice. That being said, I have a couple of bench vices in my garage but this is the one I like using the most.

I have had nothing but good luck with this one. Bought it several years ago from my local store. It's good for the occasional use but I'd buy something else for regular use.

We have one of these at work, and it's fine. It's Chinese but it works pretty well



The high end Wilton and Yost vices are nice, but expect to pay about a grand. There are some nice old ones to be found on CL though.

That is an idea. We just decided on this little shed (10 x 12), so I thought I may mount one there. I still planned to use the trail vise in the driveway.
