Wheel Bearing Hub Assembly Question

I’ll be replacing my wheel bearing hub assemblies next week. I read somewhere that the axle nut should be changed also. Question...is this true? Also, should I use thread lock after installing new ones?

I've never heard of either. I've always reused the nut and did not use locktite when putting it back on. Not sure if that's correct, but that's the way I've done it.

I've heard that for the pinion nut, but not axle.

You reuse the nut and put locktite on it.

Yupp reuse the nut. I've never replaced the nut after doing quite a few and never had an issue.
