So with my motor swap I'm running a Ford 8.8 in the rear. Sticking with the stock Dana 30 in the front but also moving to 35" tires. I know the Jeep Dana 30 is decently strong. Will C gussets at least be a safe move for me? I'm not sure about doing sleeves unless you guys think it's a good idea. Tons of info on here for JK front ends but not a whole lot for TJ's.

Pretty sure most on here agree that sleeves are not worth the money, gussets are probably a good investment if you’re gonna run the D30 for a while.

Put the 35s on there and see what happens. You'd probably only need to upgrade the axle shafts to chromoly. The housings really are pretty tough unless you're bouncing off rocks.

What gears are you going with? You've got an Auto Trans, so probably 4.10s?

Bumping to manual with the motor swap. Probably going to regear to 4.56 or 4.88 over the summer. I'm running 3.73 right now.
