Rockslide Engineering Step Sliders

I have made a grave mistake installing these on my Jeep. As the work well for my vertically challenged misses they are far to fragile for any sort of actual rock sliding.

By any strange chance has anyone removed these and used another product with a similar profile where the holes for nutserts actually line up? I know it a long shot and I also expect the full bashing for asking such a question...or installing them to begin with.

So did you actually damage them or did they cause damage to your jeep?

Damaged both side prior to adding the additional armor. Replace damaged pieces then added armor but feel that they are still to weak to hold up to any abuse.
