Steering stabilizer

Stupid question. The Rancho steering stabilizer I recently bought didn’t come with instructions...now I know it’s just a remove old one and install new one kind of job, but I was wondering on what side does the shaft with the protective boot go? Looking at the Jeep from the front, does it go to the passenger or driver side? Or does it go on exactly like the stock one?

I don't think it'd be a problem either way. I'd put it in whichever way gives you better clearance.

I stand corrected; I guess I just got lucky mounting it with the shaft side on the tie rod then. Learn something every day!

Still not sure how the physics of that works... Wouldn't it be equal and opposite forces against the axle and tie rod?

Apparently it doesn't really matter for function... I installed mine the other direction because I also installed a relocation bracket to get it above the tie rod and it gave me better clearance.

The 5000 model isn't gas charged so it doesn't push on the steering components.
