My LJ was stolen

Well, I got my LJ back no real damage they spray painted the whole inside brown. I bought a used complete dash. New center console, went with the taffy security console, bought new seats, shifter handles, inner door panels, door handles, window handles, speedometer gauge and climate controls gauge.

I do have one question the dash I bought and new wiring harness does not have the connector for the O/D switch. Do I really need it, I never turn the overdrive off, what are all your thoughts. I could have the dealership wiring it up, I gues but I am I too this project already about 3,000 dollars.

That was dumb. Spraypainted the entire inside. At least you got your LJ back. Seems like it runs other than the interior pieces you replaced.

Yea it still runs fine, just need to find out if there is a need to wire the overdrive switch up. The dash I got came from a manual Rubicon. I think I will just leave it, I don’t want to have to chase down a wiring diagram or pay the dealership to hook the switch up.

Thanks Eddie, hey question is there any real need to hook up the switch to turn off the overdrive. The dash I put in came out of a manual 2005 Rubicon and obviously did not have the wiring for the overdrive switch. Just seeing if I really have to wire it up or not. I will not be towing with it.

covering up any chance of lifting prints, least they did not burn it. Was this in Helena/townsend? J&K in Missoula is pretty sharp with TJ's and I think has a fair amount of take offs.

A Chilton's/Haines manual is only about $55-60. Worth its weight in gold. Wiring diagrams, pm procedures, etc. You already invested $3k? Spend the $55-60.

Haynes are down to like 30 right now. Definately worth the money.
