My college aged daughter (a good Jeep Girl) is itching to accept my 2000 TJ as her first vehicle, so I plan on moving on to a new JL. I am glad I found this site, I've learned a bunch already.

I was in the Prescott area a few weeks ago and found an interesting way to get from AZ 69, north of Mayer to Senator Highway. You take FS 87A to Grapevine Gulch. Cross the creek bed and find the old trail up to the gap in the mountain ridge. Follow that thru the burned out area to Pine Flats Road. That takes you to Senator. Lots of old gold mines/claims worked in that area. Can see them easily due to the fire.
