How much water leakage is normal?

I just bought a 2011 Unlimited in pretty pristine shape. I checked all the visible seals and gaskets and everything looked fine. I felt all of the carpets as well and everything was bone dry. In the past two weeks, weíve had two rain events. Each time, the driver side and passenger side foot wells were soaked. I canít see water coming in from anywhere. I know itís a Jeep and I am going to have to deal with water from time to time, but Iím thinking this is abnormal. Any help would be greatly appreciated as Iím a newbie.

I ran into the same issue with my 15 JKU and when it was a few months old. The door seals were replaced and it improved but now it is back again although less leaks.

Google jk water leaks, you should find a writeup showing where the leak is likely coming from based on where it is found, and also check the area in the back where the jack goes, you may find that is full of water too.

About us
ďwayoflifeĒ is a moniker that Iíve been using for 20 years now and I chose it because I think it does a great job of explaining, in simple terms, the passion I have for Jeeps and the Jeep way of life. This is a lifestyle that transcends age, gender and race as the only thing you need to be a part of it is a love for the outdoors, a desire to explore, a yearning to take on a challenge and a will to conquer it. Over the years, Cindy and I have attempted to capture the essence of this lifestyle through photographs and videos and share it with others around the world. And, this is how WAYALIFE was born.
