Only 1 tow hook at the back?

Why does a jeep have 2 tow hooks at the front but only 1 at the back?

Surely if I need to be towed backwards I would need 2 tow hooks at the back.

Take a look at where your exhaust exits your Jeep. Its right where the tow hook would go. Bet ya some bonehead burned his hand not paying attention or a corporate lawyer type said, "some bonehed is gonna burn his hand" so they didn't put one there.

That's why we all removed or upgraded our rear bumpers to dual tow points. You can't possibly go off roading with only one rear tow hook.

So the choices are:

1) FCA believes that the special edition customers are smarter than the rest of us and deserve the extra tow point

2) they realize that the extra tow hook is such a special feature that some of us will pay way more to get it ( I only got one on my JKUR )

You won't need to use both at the same time, but a different angle of pull might be a better choice
