Installed a hood louver to help remove hot air from my engine bay. If it doesn't work I have a few other ideas.

From installing my poison spider hood louver, i haven’t really seen a difference in engine temp but I’m sure it’s working since i can see the heat escaping when i walk away [emoji41][emoji41]

Nice job. I did one of those on my JK. Can’t say it did much for temps. Never had any engine heat problems, before or after. But it looks kinda cool and was an inexpensive add on.

Anyone know how those hold up with rust? My Jeep gets super hot going for mountain rides in the summer.

I believe these louvers are made out of aluminum. I would stick with better brands, Genright, Poison Spyder or EVO to assure quality powder coating. Definitely won’t rust

They're made out of aluminum, a last 1/8th jnch. Just make sure to touch up paint the cuts. I just used a can of spray paint where the louver would cover the hood.

Any issue with rain or other water getting on engine? How about structural integrity of the hood - is it still sufficiently rigid?

Thanks
