Looking for a commuter car

Wondering if anyone has a 2010+ car for sale? My daughter needs a commuter car that isn't ready to explode like her current vehicle is. šŸ¤£

Looking to pay up to $5000 for the right car... If you or anyone you know has something, I'd appreciate a heads-up.

I hate CL for major purchases, so if a member has something, that'd be awesome. šŸ»

Yeah, I've been ready for a second car for a while. Just something to drive during the week to preserve the Jeep for real fun.

2006 Nissan Titan 195k miles, $3500 and it's yours..;)..haha.

I bought a 2017 Nissan sentra last year. I got 5k for my trade in. My payment is $188 a month now. If I waited a couple more months could have gotten it cheaper I'm sure. Not sure if you're wanting the payment but I've been happy with it. Averaging 32 mpg combined and just turned over 19k on the odo. I plan on driving it into the wheels fall off.

Nah, she's a law student that doesn't need any more debt. šŸ˜± She needs something cheap, reliable, and decent MPG (so the truck's out šŸ¤£).

The single most uncomfortable car ever made. I rented one and it was horrible.

I rented a Nissan Versa once and got 35-38 mpg. Ugly little troll, but thrifty.
I agree, however we're talking about a 25 year old here... I had to talk her out of financing a new car, so I need to find something that's not as troll-like as her current 03 Corolla. šŸ˜Ž

I actually found an '11 Rogue for something close to our budget... If I can negotiate a little better deal.

Used Mazda Miata. At the top end of your budget, but reliable and fun.

Be careful with that year rogue. That's when the CVT was giving them fits. My wife's 2010 went through 3 of them. They added a 125k mile warranty to them so make sure it's still has plenty of life. If not its about a 4k repair.

Agreed. I look at about 20 per week. Nissan CVTs not doing well.

My wife has had 2 Honda Accords... a 99 and now a 13. Both great cars. The 13 is a sport with 19ā€ wheels.. it looks great and gets 27-33 mpg. Awesome cars for the money.

I bought a 2010 Camry, with 162,000 miles on it. It gets 29-30 mpg. I drive long distances to work, and didnā€™t want to wear out my Jeep. My sister-in-law put 400,000 miles on a Camry.

Toyotaā€™s are crazy. Friend of mine has 340k+ miles on her forerunner. Looks like new.

Good info... Is there a way to tell if there's an issue? This car has 110k on it.

Camrys are awesome too...

That's impressive. I think the wife is going to trade the Honda in for a 4runner pretty soon... I couldn't sell her on the JL and she really liked the size & feel of the yota. Mileage isn't great though.

I've owned several Toyotas over the years. My first car was an 80 Toyota pickup. Had 456k on it before I flew off a 50' cliff. The fucker was still running at the bottom. I kept the key for years. šŸ¤£
