Price for a J10

Hi everyone been on the forum for a while now and I was wondering what a good price for a J10 is. My best friend has wanted one since the movie Tremors and he found one 5-6 hours away from us and he was wondering if $20,000 is good or too much? Nice truck but for $20k, it'd have to be in mint condition and mostly stock or at least, for me anyway. That thing is far from it.

I thought $20k is a little to high. Yes it's nice but I don't want him to waste his money either, especially that is going to be just for trail runs. Thanks for the input.

I think that's the "I told my wife I would try to sell price" nice J10 though.

A J truck wouldnt be that fun for a trail rig. For that kind of money iv seen some pretty good LJ for sale. That would be more fun on the trail to me.

It's just the Jeep that he wanted since a young age and I have tried to find a nice LJ for him but he has his mind set on finding a J10 and $20k could buy him a pretty good LJ.

That’s about 19,500 too much.

The price and the fact you still need to smog the fucker are huge boner killers for me.

I would say keep looking.. Just a quick search found 2 pretty good examples. Compared to these two, I think it's way high.. Good luck. jeep j.jpg

this is in Canadian dollars ? may seem high to the US market but take the exchange on it and it would be about $5000. cheaper :icon_crazy:

Good point. At $15k it starts to be more reasonable. Even then, that seems high to me. Of course, things are “worth” what someone will pay for them. I could see someone spending $15k on that.

Still way too high especially just for a J10. have seen immaculate J20's sell for about $11k. My other problem is that this thing is way too modified and you would for sure have to deal with mistakes the previous owners have made. I personally think my J2000 is in at least as good of condition as this thing and I only paid $4500 for it - as in, maybe 10k Canadian. If it were me, I'd say be patient or start shopping around for a J-truck in the U.S. I mean, if you're gonna spend that much money anyway, you might as well shop around.
