For sure. Glad it got you home and very happy you caught it before it got any worse. 🍻

More pics. You can see some surface rust in the crack, indicating that this didn’t occur just yesterday. You also can see a crack starting on the other side. Like I said, disaster averted.

Wow! You think it may have something to do with the hydro allowing you to turn when you really shouldn't be turning?

Wow! That is some scary shit.

Glad you caught it before it went to full separation.

One more place to look closely at after a wheeling trip.

Any hard hits lately? Seems really odd without some external force

Any abnormal symptoms or did you just happen to randomly see it when you were doing an inspection?

I don’t know. I would guess that the stock stuff just becomes very marginal once you go 37s, hydro steer, big brake kit, and probably 1000 pounds of extra weight on the rig.

Nothing I can recall. I’m not out there slinging back Bud Lights and jumping the thing. Just normal wheeling. Crawling mostly.

About us
“wayoflife” is a moniker that I’ve been using for 20 years now and I chose it because I think it does a great job of explaining, in simple terms, the passion I have for Jeeps and the Jeep way of life. This is a lifestyle that transcends age, gender and race as the only thing you need to be a part of it is a love for the outdoors, a desire to explore, a yearning to take on a challenge and a will to conquer it. Over the years, Cindy and I have attempted to capture the essence of this lifestyle through photographs and videos and share it with others around the world. And, this is how WAYALIFE was born.
