Your theory is sound. I get what youíre trying to do and I donít think it will hurt the wheel integrity or balance. I do however think itís a waste of time. Just my opinion though. Carry on!

I actually contacted KMC today and inquired about these wheels.

They said they can get the caps if I buy blanks and they drill them? Not sure why thatís different than their already drilled wheels.

Since I installed on board air I blow the water out of my wheels with an air nozzle

will be interested to see how it all turns out.

personally, that's more patience and time than i've got and would just order the XD229 rings.

Speaking of, I almost bought XD229 rings for my Chamber Pros II's because i got OCD during day after day of rain and not being able to keep it out of the wheel.

The cost of XD229 rings only made the cost of buying a new set of wheels reasonable so i bought new wheels

About us
ďwayoflifeĒ is a moniker that Iíve been using for 20 years now and I chose it because I think it does a great job of explaining, in simple terms, the passion I have for Jeeps and the Jeep way of life. This is a lifestyle that transcends age, gender and race as the only thing you need to be a part of it is a love for the outdoors, a desire to explore, a yearning to take on a challenge and a will to conquer it. Over the years, Cindy and I have attempted to capture the essence of this lifestyle through photographs and videos and share it with others around the world. And, this is how WAYALIFE was born.
